Kawasaki Balances the Budget

There's been little notice paid to the fact that Kawasaki continues to offer its excellent Ninja 250 and Ninja 500 models at very reasonable prices. The 250 has remained at $2999 for eons (though it briefly blipped up to $3299 a few years back), while the evergreen Ninja 500 has just received a welcome price cut (now $4799, down $300 from last year's $5099 tariff) and spiffy new silver paint job.





Are these cutting-edge models? Of course not, but they are affordable, confidence-inspiring beginner bikes that veteran riders can also enjoy. Racetracks around the country are awash in 250s and 500s, terrorizing much more powerful (and expensive) sportbikes.

So big ups to Kawasaki for keeping the budget flames burning...
