Not sure if this should be in this forum or the touring forum. However, since it's my bike and I ride it on more of a sporting side, I'll post here. Anyway, I sold my 2000 Blue SV650 this past Saturday. And, I replaced it with this:

It's a 2003 Suzuki V-Strom. It had 0.2 miles when I picked it up. I'll give a more in-depth report once I've broken it in. The one thing I have observed is that although, it is portly at 550 lbs, once it's rolling it seems to lose 100 lbs. The steering is light and responsive. I have a feeling the biggest limiting factor is going to be the dual-sport radials. It's definitely got alot of grunt down low. I'm really looking forward to opening it up in the mid-range. |

| Yeah, I've been considering the V-Strom as a viable sport-touring alternative. Keep us posted on your experiences - I'll be particularly interested in how the fuel economy/range factor plays out. |
